Dining for Dignity across the world


ACEF high tea invitesACEF supporter Val Klein lives in New Zealand and was powerfully moved by the Dine for Dignity campaign. She wanted to ensure that girls at Brainhouse Academy had dignity during menstruation allowing them to keep accessing school. Tea party cake stand

But in the process of telling her friends about the campaign to raise money for menstrual cups she became aware that there was still a lack of understanding and access to sanitary care for girls closer to home.  So Val organised an amazing event with local friends – they each paid NZ$25 to host a table of their friends at a High Tea party and guests brought along food to share.

tea party full roomThis “Jacob’s Join” as it is sometimes known was a great success with money being raised for menstrual management for two communities of girls across the world!
